Just finished Let Me Call You Sweetheart, a fantastic novel written by Mary Higgins Clark.
Without wanting to write an essay; the main character is Kerry McGrath. A respected prosecutor and single-mother the novel begins when Kerry's daughter is involved in a car accident and requires plastic surgery. Whilst in the waiting room Kerry accidently stumbles across the solution to a mystery and has to everything against to get an innocent man out of jail.
